| "The Green Hornet" starring Jay Chou, Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz (with a James Franco cameo!) |
So 01 Febuary 2011 @ 2110 hours with some of the gang (Nabs, Jo, Edwin, Az) watched at Cineleisure and we weren't sure how we were going to take the movie. We came out getting our money worth. It was a KICKASS, HILARIOUS movie (though it is a little, sick in certain parts of the movie without trying to go into much details. sick as in how they kill some of the villians in the movie, is almost as Austin Powers comical but gross mixture. Story plot, well when you pay $8/- to see this movie, you really aren't looking for the best storyline or plot to be honest. This isn't 'The King's Speech' or 'Black Swan'. But its humor is enough to get your money's worth). And I can actually understand what Jay was saying throughout the movie; must be because I listen to his music so much I can hear his mumbles (Az kept asking what he said what he said). His English is not that bad, just weird thats all. And they acutally used '雙截棍' as the ending credits of the movie; btw that's one of Jay's famous and best songs from his 2nd album "Fantasy", namely "Nanchuks" in English. Anyways this is a MUST SEE movie.
Btw, I didn't know Bruce Lee played the role of Kato (Jay Chou's character) in the "Green Hornet" TV series in the late 60's. Awesome. Jay Chou did bring ASIAN pride to the film.
And can I get the 'Black Beauty' for my self too? It's a much better car haha! Throw in the coffee mixer as well.
