So Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? (I Promise NO SPOILERS)

Much apologies for the lack of updates for I have been too busy with school (endless amount of work to be done).

Anyways managed  to catch my second movie of the year, 'Red Riding Hood' so far last night (the first being Jay Chou's 'Green Hornet') at The Cathay with Kenneth.

And I must say I am 2/2 for movies this year. This was worth the $6.50.

Since the movie was just released I shall not spoil the story and spill the contents (yes I am actually not that evil). But what I can say is the new take on one of our childhood story takes a real, dark twist. It's kind of like a fantasy meets sexy fairytale FOR adults.

It certainly won't go down as the greatest flick of all time but it will entertain you enough to meet your money's worth. There is enough suspense for a good part of the movie both in the villian and in love. Yes what is a Hollywood movie today without Edward Cullen and Bella Swan wolf-style. The film is dark but still somehow sticks to its principles of the original story that we all come to know. The movie could move a little faster but then again, any faster and Amanda Seyfried's boobs might not keep up. Though if there really is a big flaw it would probably be the flat ending. A little more action with the villian would be great.

Overall I think the movie is worth a watch though I suspect the ones who enjoys it the most are the ones who wished Granny and Little Red were indeed eaten by the BIG BAD WOLF in the original story.

The movie stars the very lovely (and somewhat big-eyed adorable) Amanda Seyfried, the respectable Gary Oldman (though he is a real dick in the movie) as well as lesser knows Shiloh Fernandez and Max Iron (Son of a very VERY respectable Jeremy Irons).

*Side note: This movie is produced by Leonardo DiCaprio so it better be good.

Makes you think twice about eating your grandma the next time... Till then this movie deserves 3 AIYOS out of 5!
